Eat Like a local
The Mercury sits just steps away from the some of the best restaurants in Portland. Within a ten minute walk of the inn you’ll find:
Boda - A fantastic thai bistro with delicious staples like Pad Thai as well a fantastic menu of skewers.
Pain Men Miyake - A ramen bar with excellent small plates, rolls and an excellent selection of beer, sake and cocktails.
El Corazón - Casual and cozy spot for traditional Mexican fare.
CBG Bar & Grill - They call themselves ‘Fine Diving’ and we couldn’t agree more. With a vintage wood paneling and oxblood vinyl banquets, the vibe is warm and the food delicious. A great late-night option.
Otto - Our favorite pizza place in town. Anything but traditional. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried their mashed potato, bacon and scallion pizza.
Empire - Amazing chinese food. If you’ve already filled up on all the other amazing places in town, this is still a great place to grab some dim sum and a couple cocktails.
On-Site Facilities
Each floor at the Mercury has a shared kitchenette and dining space with facilities for guests to make and store their own food, including a full size refrigerator, combination convection oven and microwave, multicooker, and various tools and utensils needed to prepare a delicious meal for yourself.
Breakfast
At the Mercury we serve a selection of coffee, tea, light continental fare and grab-and-go items meant to allow you to start your day. If you’re looking for a more full breakfast experience, there are so many fantastic restaurants that cater specifically to offering a great morning meal. These are a few that are within a five minute walk from the inn:
Tandem Bakery - The undisputed ruler of Portland’s incredible coffee and pastry scene. You’ve never had baked goods like these.
The Holy Donut - You haven’t truly had a donut until you’ve had a Maine potato donut.
Hot Suppa - Delicious breakfast with a little bit of a southern flare. Their biscuits and gravy are next level.
Bayside American Cafe - Sometimes the simple standards are the best. This is a warm, homey breakfast spot. Nothing super fancy, but everything super delicious.
